Challenge: Client was experiencing recurring transit damage claims on CNC machining center exports to Germany and the USA. Three shipments in 18 months had arrived with spindle assembly damage, triggering insurance disputes, customer penalties, and a threatened contract suspension worth ₹12 Cr annually.
Root Cause: Previous packaging lacked adequate anti-vibration isolation for spindle assemblies. Wood crates were non-ISPM-15, causing detention at Hamburg port on two occasions. Inadequate blocking within containers resulted in cargo shift during sea transit.
